Why European Brands? The majority of European Big Brand Manufacturers follow & are governed under the Authoroty of the EPLF, that is the European Producers of Laminate Flooring. Generally, these manufacturers are obligated to produce laminate floors which conform to EPLF standards which encompass; Board Density, Hazardous Formaldehyde Content, Aluminium Oxide Content, UV Resistance, Moisture Resistance, etc. This is not the case with cheaper laminate flooring imported from the far eastern countries who operate without authority. These floors are “knock-off” imitations which may look the same as a quality board but inevitably will fail after a short period of time, especially under regular air moisture changes & temperature fluctuation. The warranty offered by these products are usually not upheld by the distributor or importer.
